 | To watch me dance is to hear my heart speak.....My name is Amanda Maximin. I am a nineteen year old independent dancer and choreographer. I have been dancing for 11 years, and now professionally at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. I specialize in ballet, modern, lyrical and jazz, contemporary, African , and hip hop. I also teach classes (private and public). I perform for weddings, engagement parties, cocktails, street fairs/ block parties,funerals, off Broadway entertainment,and many more events! To Dance is my passion. It puts me in a position where i let go of my stress and allow my body to talk. I let my body take action and show everyone who I am, what im made of, and what I can offer to the world. Being only nineteen years old, i am put in the mecca of a million and one dancers who are better than me. I don't stress it because each opportunity is a learning experience, and i have a lot to learn!. Instead of comparing to others, I learn to dance better than myself. By doing so it has made me a better person, and an idol for young girls. Im not perfect, and ill never be, but what i do know is im original and nothing can compare to being less than your best.
